The OZD Profi 12M G12 PRO Repeater Module belongs to the Hirschmann FiberINTERFACES and OZD series of products. It allows the users to have an electrical/optical conversion interface for converting an electrical signal into an optical signal. The switches located on the top of the module can be used to set the operating mode. It offers a range of operating mode-related functions such as the segment monitoring, line monitoring with echoes, segmentation, and send/monitor echo functions. The OZD Profi 12M G12 PRO Repeater Module also supports a range of network topologies, including point-to-point connection, line topologies, star topologies, and redundant optical rings. This module contains 3 mutually independent ports for transmitting and receiving data.

The OZD Profi 12M G12 PRO Repeater Module uses a 3000-meter cable for multimode fiber connections and a 1000-meter cable for multimode fiber HCS connections. It is rated at 4.8 Watts of power consumption and 200 milliamps of maximum current consumption. It supports a redundant ring topology for increasing the fail-safety of the PROFIBUS field bus networks that it is part of. Its operating temperature range is 0 to 60 degrees Celsius, and its storage temperature range is -40 to 70 degrees Celsius. The typical operating voltage of the OZD Profi 12M G12 PRO Repeater Module is 24 Volts DC, and the maximum operating voltage range is 18 to 32 Volts DC. It is recommended to use only fully shielded lines for the bus line connections. It uses both single-mode and multimode fiber cables for network connections. This module can be connected to the optical bus cable through a duplex fiber optic cable. It has a screw terminal block for connecting the operating voltage supply easily.
